Except for one individual, I received many compliments on my pitching this season, especially my knuckleball. Being my first year in the league, I read the rules regarding the pitching, and even double checked today, and no where in the rules does it state what pitches can or cannot be thrown including a knuckleball. However this rule has been modified for the tournament. If a pitcher is not allowed to PITCH, you are basically asking them to throw batting practice and giving the advantage to the batter. In that case, you might as well play 3 pitch to your own team. I would like to suggest the following. Without using a full windup, and unless asked to slow down, pitchers should be able to throw as fast as they can along with throwing any other type of pitch including knuckleballs, curve balls, etc. We are all here to have fun, but its fun to compete also. Thank you.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h1>Four Consecutive Balls Rule<\/h1>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Name:<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Erin Bowman<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Current Rule:<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>When a pitcher throws four balls consecutively (regardless of any strikes previously thrown) during tournament weekend, the batting team is awarded an extra walk.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>New Rule:<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>As long as the pitcher throws at least 1 strike at some point during the at bat, the walk is treated as a normal walk, with no extra base or walk awarded.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h1>Penalty for Game Forfeit<\/h1>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Name:<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Lisa Harrison<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Current Rule:<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>No rule<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>New Rule:<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Currently no rule, however several times this year teams have decided to forfeit because they do not want to drive, live far etc. This is unfair as other teams are forced to lose out on a game they paid to play, in addition they are costing the league money to pay for a diamond that isn&#8217;t being used.
