Code of Conduct

• Attendance: All players are required to attend a minimum of 50% of the season games in order to hold their spot on the team – some exceptions can be made for extenuating circumstances. See club by-laws for further details.

• Outdoor Smoking By-Law: All players and fans must adhere to the “Region of Peel’s Outdoor Smoking By-law”, which became effective September 2, 2013. This by-law makes it against the law to smoke outdoors within nine metres (30 feet) of: entrances and exits of municipal buildings, playground areas, and sports/activity areas. Regional tobacco enforcement officers and municipal by-law officers can issue warnings, tickets and fines starting at $250 if the law is broken.

• Jewellery: It is recommended that jewellery not be worn during games. Any injuries sustained by wearing jewellery during any game WILL NOT be covered by Slo Pitch Ontario Insurance. Medic Alert jewellery is the only exception.

• Consumption of Alcohol:
  During the regular season - the consumption of any and all alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited at all City parks. Players are expected to adhere to city rules, regulations, and by-laws.

  During the year end tournament – the consumption of any and all alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited outside of the Licensed Area. Anyone caught drinking outside of the licensed area will be penalized as follows: Team suspension from the tournament and the individual(s) responsible will be suspended from the league for the following season.

  During the banquet – the consumption of any and all alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited outside of the Licensed Area (Banquet Facility). Any player or guest who is caught drinking outside of the Licensed Area or who is caught consuming alcohol, that was not purchased at the banquet facility, will be asked to leave the premises immediately. Players are responsible for their guest and can be penalized for their actions as well. The player will be penalized as follows: suspension from the league for the following season.

• Sportsmanlike Conduct: - All individuals and teams are expected to participate in a safe and sportsmanlike manner. Unsportsmanlike conduct of any kind will not be tolerated and will be dealt with accordingly.
